The scr888 Story
The scr888 story began in 2013 — at a time when Malaysia's online entertainment industry was just starting to take shape and most local players were stuck using foreign platforms that had no understanding of local needs or culture. A small group of tech and entertainment enthusiasts with backgrounds in gaming software decided it was time to change that.
Their original goal was straightforward: build a platform that feels like it was made by Malaysians for Malaysians. Not just a translated interface, but a genuine understanding of what local players want — support in their mother tongue, familiar payment methods like Maybank2u and later Touch 'n Go eWallet, content relevant to the Malaysian Super League and EPL, and customer service that is reachable at any time and responds in Bahasa Melayu.
In the early years, scr888 focusing on slots and Live Casino games. User response was overwhelmingly positive — within two years, registered membership surged into the tens of thousands. Players loved the combination of a smooth user experience, fast deposit and withdrawal processing, and a steadily growing game library.
By 2017, scr888 had expanded into Sports Betting — adding Malaysian Super League fixtures, the EPL, European football and other sports to the platform. This opened up a new dimension for Malaysian sports fans looking to make every match more exciting. Cricket betting was introduced by 2019 as demand from the local cricket fan community continued to grow.
Today, scr888 stands among Malaysia's most trusted online entertainment platforms, with over 100,000 active members, more than 500 games and sports markets, and a consistent payout track record. This journey is far from over — we continue to invest in technology, security and user experience to keep scr888 relevant and ahead in an increasingly competitive industry.
